Come and watch the best of our regions heavy horses including Clydesdales, Shires, Australian Draught Horses and Open Heavy Breeds.

The competition will finish off with Heavy horse harness and vehicle driving.

A heavy horse, also known as a draught horse, carthorse or workhorse, is a large horse that was originally bred to help farmers with ploughing and other heavy farm duties.

While there are a number of different breeds of heavy horses they are all extremely large, muscular, strong horses with a docile temperament.
